With our strong love of great farm to table restaurants, one of our local favorites in Providence stands out. Bacaro restaurant on South Water Street is amazing for many things; a quick bite and drink before a movie or show on a much needed date night , intimate dinner with your sweetie or a big "go all out," dinner with your favorite fellow food lovers! Their bar area even has a romantic vibe with select tables for two!
We love starting the night off picking a couple of amazing tapas items and delectable snacks from the salumeria, always trying something new off the menu! We love the "crespella," which is a truffled crepe with Bresaola and shaved parmigiana. The pizzas are always amazing as well. If you aren't that daring in the food department, even the Margherita pizza is to die for! They are a decent size for sharing to "ooh and ahh" over together! For the adventurous foodies, the assorted Salumeria experiences all sound amazing! We are dying to try them next, especially the Chef's local board!
If you can fit in anything else after trying all of these amazing smaller dishes, the main courses will win your taste buds over as well! The Baked Gratin is one of my favorites because I am a cheese and pasta lover! Even if you don't have room to fit dessert, it is still well worth ordering and enjoying it together snuggling in your pj's when you get home! The tarts are sized for two and are incredible! We love the plum tart! Add this restaurant to your next date night, you will not be dissapointed!
